Summerside Airport (CYSU), a fully functional private airport is located in Slemon Park and within walking distance of  the hotel and other training facilities.  The airport is a perfect location for any related aviation training, aviation event or other driver related training.

Summerside Airport has one main active runway and two de-commissioned runways. The active runway is used for regular airport traffic plus for aviation related events. The de-commissioned runways are currently used by The Atlantic Police Academy and JVI Driver Training, our training tenants to compliment their driving requirements for their particular courses. Moncton Motor Sports utilizes our driving surfaces annually for their car event. Utilization of the de-commissioned runways can be arranged by contacting the Marketing Director.

Summerside Airport has hosted and will host several military-related training exercises, courses and events. The airport has also hosted several aviation related national events that include:

• National Search and Rescue Competition - 2005 and 2011
• Atlantic Air Show - 2011
• National Health Canada Training Exercise - 2006
• Air Rally International - 2007
• Canadian Owners and Pilots Association Annual Fly In - 2010

Summerside Airport can offer training organizations an opportunity to host a training event at the airport plus provide a complete package for hotel rooms and food services. Slemon Park has other training facilities on-site that may compliment an event being held at the airport.
