The Aerospace Centre
Slemon Park Corporation in partnership with the Province of Prince Edward Island and Government of Canada financed the construction of this 54000 square foot state of the art training facility, which officially opened in 1998. This training facility is operated by Holland College, Prince Edward Island’s community college institution.
The location of the state of-the-art facility provides a unique combination of training and student services in a diversified and expanding aerospace community with training facilities and housing within walking distance of each other. A practical, hands-on approach to learning provides an environment that simulates, as closely as possible, actual work situations. In addition to customized training, full-time programs at the Centre include:
- Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine Repair and Overhaul Technology (CAMC accredited)
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (NSCC)
- Automotive Technology
- Carpentry
- Electrical Technology - Construction and Industrial
- Electromechanical Technology
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology
- Precision Machinist
- Wood Manufacturing - Cabinetmaking
