Atlantic Turbines International Inc. is a fully authorized Pratt & Whitney Canada Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility. The company is a division of Vector Aerospace and provides worldwide engine support to JT15D, PT6A and PW100 engines.

Atlantic Turbines is located in Hangar 8 at Slemon Park, Prince Edward Island. The custom-built 140,000 square foot facility is ISO 9002 Certified. Atlantic Turbines also holds regulatory approvals from Transport Canada, U.S Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), through the US/Canadian Bilateral Agreement, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and multiple other international Civil Aviation Authorities in South America, Africa and the Far East. In addition to our facility in Canada, Atlantic Turbines has service centers in the United States, and facilities opening soon in South Africa and Kenya.

Keeping our customers happy is our top priority. One way we accomplish this is ensuring that even if a customer’s engine is being repaired in our facility, our customer is not grounded; we provide rental engines to allow our customers to keep operating as usual.  

Our strongest competency is in the area of customer service, and we always strive to nurture long-term relationships with our customers. We invite our customers to the facility to look around and watch as their engine is disassembled. We want them to stand shoulder to shoulder with our technicians as we work together to draw a conclusion as to what kind of workscope is actually required on their engine. We demonstrate. We won’t just tell them what the problem is.

Our work methods permit the technicians to devote their personal attention to the engine they are assigned. This facilitates responsibility and accountability and results in a product with exceptional quality and reliability.

In operation for over fifteen years, Atlantic Turbines has grown significantly since opening in 1992 with only 4 employees. Today, the Summerside facility employs more than 320 staff and is Prince Edward Island’s largest aerospace company.

Atlantic Turbines recently received a Business Excellence Award from the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce. The award was “presented to a company that best demonstrates overall business excellence within the Greater Summerside Area, and substantially contributes to the community’s economic development”. Aside from the many contributions to education, sports, arts & culture and health care organizations in the Summerside Area, Atlantic Turbines made a $100,000 donation to the University of Prince Edward Island in 2007. Our company and employees are very proud of the differences they have made to the community.
