What are your office hours?
Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm

When is my rent due?
Rent is due on the first day of every month.

How much is the security deposit?
The security deposit is the equivalent of one months rent.

What utilities are included in my rent?
Slemon Park provides heat, maintenance in the units, grounds maintenance, and water & sewer.   The tenant is responsible for phone, cable/satellite, tenant insurance and electricity.  You must provide proof of tenant’s insurance and have the electricity switched into your name prior to taking possession. To have the electricity switched into your name contact Maritime Electric at 1-800-670-1012.

Are pets allowed?
Yes.  A maximum of 2 pets is permitted.  The residential housing units at Slemon Park are in the City of Summerside.  Adherence to the City by-laws is mandatory and used as a base for Slemon Park Corporation Policy on pets. 

When does my grass get cut?
Monday             Argus Avenue, Birch Street and Dakota Crescent

Tuesday            Neptune Crescent, Seventh Street and Eighth Street

Wednesday       Ninth Street and Fourth Street

Thursday           Sixth Street and Fifth Street

I have a minor maintenance issue, who do I contact?
Contact the office at 432-1740 any week day from 8:30am – 4:30pm. If there is no answer, please leave a detailed message and a work order will be issued for your maintenance issue, or submit an online Maintenance Request Form which also goes directly to the Housing Administrator.

I have a serious maintenance issue and it is after hours or on the weekend - who do I contact?
In the case of an emergency, call the after hours pager at 1-902-557-7681.  A technician will return your call and arrange to have the necessary repairs completed.

What is the Waste Watch schedule for garbage pick up?
Thursday is Cart day, and recyclables are the second Tuesday of every month.  Please ensure garbage is curb side by 7:00am the morning of pick up.  For more information call 1-888-280-8111 or visit www.iwmc.pe.ca.

I plan on moving - how much notice am I required to give?
You are required to provide written notice or complete the online Termination of Lease Notice at least one month before the due date for payment of rent.  If you have been here less than a year you are required to give two months notice.  Also, please read the Exit Check List for Tenants.

How long does it take to have my security deposit returned?
Your security deposit will be issued within 10 days of completing your Exit walk through.

Can I sub-lease?
No, you cannot sub-lease.
