SUMMERSIDE (pe) – MARCH 20, 2012 – Preparations for the 2012 Atlantic Canada International Air Show are well under way and will once again be held in Summerside. Major corporate sponsors to date were also announced.

The emails and phone calls have already started to come in with questions on tickets and accommodations.”
Organizers are pleased with the progress of planning for the 2012 program, the event website has been launched, and more acts will be announced as the event draws near.
“It is great to receive support from all levels of government, and we are quite pleased to have attracted significant partners from the corporate community,” said Colin Stephenson.
“Additional Aerobatic Acts, Vintage aircraft and many others are showing even more interest in participating as they see what we have attracted on the military side. This is made possible thanks to having such a great array of sponsors in place.”
The Government of Canada, through ACOA’s Business Development Program, will invest $45,000 in the hosting requirements for this year’s Air Show. The Government of Prince Edward Island will contribute $45,000 and the City of Summerside will add $10,000 towards the 2012 event.
