Slemon Park Corporation is a 1,500 acre industrial park on the
outskirts of Summerside, Prince Edward Island. Slemon Park was
developed to utilize the considerable structural assets (approx.
700,000 sq. ft.) of the former Canadian Forces Base Summerside.
Presently, we have over 40 commercial tenants utilizing those assets
and approximately 1000 people work at Slemon Park on a daily basis.
In 2002, the Corporation recognized the need to develop a portion
of its land for green field development in order to accommodate
those businesses that wanted to purchase land and build their own
facilities. In the fall of 2004, this vision was realized when
the Corporation completed Phase 1 of a new 90 acre business park
to accommodate this type of development. Two parcels of land have
been sold to date in Phase 1 with construction of one facility
completed in March 2005 and a second facility currently under construction.
The lots in Phase 1 are serviced by paved roadways (Cannon Drive
or Slemon Park Drive) and have water and sewer service. The lots
on Slemon Park Drive have excellent visibility, as this is the
main entrance to the industrial park, and are suitable for commercial
or retail development. The remaining lots are suitable for commercial
and light industrial development. The business park is located
just off one of the major highways on Prince Edward Island and
is (25) twenty-five minutes from the Confederation Bridge that
links Prince Edward Island to New Brunswick and the inter-provincial
highway system.
The conceptual design document outlines the relative position
and size of each lot and is for display purposes only. Lot sizes
can be customized to suit the needs of the purchaser and may vary
from those displayed in the conceptual design.
Our development offers prospective businesses and their staff
access to a variety of business and personal services. Locating
at Slemon Park means flexible facility solutions, low operational
costs, access to a skilled, reliable workforce and the opportunity
to enjoy the excellent quality of life that Prince Edward Island
has to offer.
