- Atlantic Police Academy
The Atlantic Police Academy is situated in
Slemon Park. During the past three years both
The Academy and the Slemon Park Hotel and
restaurant facilities have undergone extensive
renovations. At present we offer five core
programs (Police Cadet, Fire Cadet, Conservation
Officer, Corrections Officer and Law &
Security Specialist). A number of courses
are required to live in our dormitory and
many others take advantage of Slemon Park
Hotel facilities. In addition, most of our
students, staff and visitors eat at the Lady
Slipper Restaurant. We also host many in-service
training courses and community events such
as business mixers, and air cadet inspections.
Feedback from our clients, students and staff
has been overwhelmingly positive. The new
facilities are of very high quality. In fact,
we hosted a national police educators conference,
on site, last year, and received many accolades
for program, accommodations and food.
Chef Ernie and his staff always go to great
lengths to ensure that client needs are met.
In particular they even made a special Newfoundland
Dinner for students 'from the rock' who were
here on course.
General Manager Kevin Mouflier and all of
his staff go to great lengths to ensure client
needs are not only met, but exceeded.

We recently held a producer
information meeting at the Slemon Park Conference
and Meeting Centre. The meeting included a
hot buffet at lunch time that was absolutely
delicious. The room was spacious and comfortable
and the service was excellent.
It was a pleasure dealing with the staff,
and I would recommend this establishment to
anyone. I'm certain we will be using this
facility again!
