Slemon Park Hotel
& Conference Centre
 |
In 1989, the base closure
was announced by the Canadian Government and
Slemon Park Corporation evolved in 1991 as
a private company dedicated to creating location
solutions for regional, national and international
business. The corporation’s mandate
is to enhance economic development in Prince
County and Prince Edward Island. The Corporation
inherited 1500 acres of property and other
assets from the former CFB Base Summerside,
which closed in 1991. An effective collaboration
between local, provincial and federal governments
allowed the creation of Slemon Park Corporation.
Slemon
Park is located 5 kilometres from the City
of Summerside and 25 kilometres from the Confederation
Bridge, which makes our location an excellent
one for business re-location. Presently Slemon
Park is home to some of the world’s
finest companies in aviation, aerospace, diversified
manufacturing, commercial and light industries.
Slemon Park Corporation owns and operates
the Summerside Airport, Slemon Park Hotel
& Conference Centre, Anson's Restaurant & Spitfire Pub and a residential housing operation.
In 2005, after undergoing a multi-million
dollar renovation, the Slemon Park Hotel &
Conference Centre is ready to expand its business.
With 88 - 3.5* Canada Select hotel rooms,
our facility can now offer modern, affordable
hotel rooms in the Summerside area to the
training, business, conference and tourism
markets.
